Agra, India: The Indian Physically Disabled Cricket Team created history by winning the title of the inaugural Asia Cup for Physically Disabled Cricketers, held at the iconic Eklavya Stadium in Agra.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite a promising start, their innings lost momentum as the Indian bowlers made an impressive comeback. Afghanistan were eventually bowled out for 133 runs, with Shilp Prakash delivering a match-winning spell. The left-arm bowler claimed four crucial wickets, emerging as the most outstanding bowler of the final.

In reply, India faced a challenging run chase. At one stage, the team was struggling at 102 for 7, with the match hanging in the balance. However, the lower-order batsmen displayed remarkable composure, determination, and fighting spirit to guide India to victory. The hosts successfully chased down the target in 19.2 overs, securing a memorable win and becoming the first-ever Asia Cup Champions in Physically Disabled Cricket.

For his exceptional all-round performance throughout the tournament, Shilp Prakash was named the Player of the Tournament, adding another milestone to India's historic campaign.

The triumph marks a significant achievement for physically disabled cricket in Asia and reflects the determination, resilience, and extraordinary talent of the Indian team. Their inspiring victory is expected to encourage greater recognition and support for disability cricket across the continent.
